The EEC is a 20 minute walk from Coventry train station. Coventry station has direct train links to/from:

• Birmingham (20 minutes from B’ham New Street)
• London (1 hour fast train or 2 hours slow train from London Euston)
• Oxford (45 minutes from Oxford Station)
• Manchester (2 hours from Manchester Piccadilly)

Coventry has direct coach links to/from Birmingham and London.

You should arrive at Pool Meadow Bus Station if travelling by coach.

The EEC is a 10 minute walk from Pool Meadow Bus Station.

We're unable to offer parking on-site, however there are many public car parks to choose from around Coventry.

A Hackathon is a weekend long invention marathon. You work over the weekend to build a project (generally something to do with tech, like a website or robot).

We like to think of them as pop-up maker spaces.

All students and recent graduates (within the last year) from any university can attend.

The event is completely free! Everything is paid for by our wonderful sponsors!

At this time, we can not provide travel reimbursements.

Don’t worry, we’ll have a team building session at the start of the hackathon.

Not a problem! A hackathon is one of the best places to learn programming, electronics or whatever you want! We’ll be running workshops to help you get started. We will also be running a Slack workspace, so if you are stuck you can ask for help from people attending the hackathon.

James is the president and co-founder of Coventry Hackathon Society, and the lead organiser of CovHack. He is currently studying Computer Science, and enjoys listening to hip-hop and getting really mad about JavaScript.

Maria is CovHackSoc’s Vice-President and a 3rd Year CompSci student. She works as a Data Scientist and loves turning data into beautiful info-grams. She loves knitting in the winter and going to the amazing beaches in Portugal during the summer.

A 3rd year Computer Science student and our treasurer for the society. Jonny is interested in machine learning and data structures. He learns by developing programs without using 3rd party frameworks, and is currently writing several Node.js apps.

Tom is this year's Hackathon Society Inclusion Officer, and a very tired Ethical Hacker. He's in his final year so has naturally decided to focus his time on attending hackathons and organising CovHack2020.

Mol is CovHackSoc’s Social Media and PR Rep.
